Juneteenth deserves an All-State stage.
Juneteenth deserves an All-State stage.
MiMa is advocating for MIJ-MIF™ 2027—Marching into Juneteenth–Marching into Freedom™—to receive a prestigious All-State distinction in every state.
Through rigorous auditions and an intentional one-week band camp, the proposed initiative would bring students of all races and backgrounds together through music, mentorship, and cultural understanding.
Let’s honor Juneteenth’s significance, celebrate freedom, and advocate for continued progress toward equality through a nationwide movement with a worldwide vision.
📣 Contact your state Music Education Association and ask it to consider endorsing MIJ-MIF™ 2027.

THE JOURNEY TO JUNETEENTH
Marching into Juneteenth–Marching into Freedom™—MIJ-MIF—is MiMa’s flagship cultural, educational, mentorship, and performance initiative.
Participation in the mentorship initiative will be separate from MIJ-MIF’s audition and Ambassador-selection process. Enrollment in the mentorship program will not guarantee future appointment as an Instrumental Ambassador.
